When you think about your habits, I bet you think of the "bad" ones - the ones that you aren't particularly proud of, like eating too much sugar, or smoking, or dwelling on your negative thoughts. According to Webster's dictionary a habit simply is: A pattern or action that is acquired and has become so automatic that it is difficult to break.

My wife Leslie and I believe that capturing a moment in time and spending some quality time in the great outdoors is an excellent way to keep healthy and in our case, to earn a living. It only seemed natural to us to try our hand at making note cards out of the pictures we had taken. So, Pine Needle Card Company was born in November 2003. With over 80 retail stores now selling our note cards, we are pretty busy around here these days. However, Leslie and I always take some time during each day to "stop and smell the roses"

The world is not flat, and wind is not a good industrial energy source

There have been a number of recent opinion pieces and letters promoting wind power in New Hampshire and New England. More times than not, these pieces restate the talking points prepared by the wind energy developers and their allies in the environmental community. I am always curious as to whether the letter writers ever bother to speak with those who oppose wind to ask them why.
